The myth has existed for so many years because it stems from peoples origin of seeing their own flaws as evidence of this false speculation.
“It turns out though, we use virtually every part of the brain, and that it is almost all active all the time,” Neurologist Barry Gordon at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine says. “Even in sleep, the frontal cortex uses much more than 10% activity of the brain.” Dr. Eric H. Chudler, of University of Washington says, “It seems reasonable to suggest that if 90% of the brain was not used, many neural pathways of the brain would degenerate…however, this is not the case.”
Yes, some certain minor functions may only use a small part of the brain at one time, any intricate set of activities well use many parts of the brain. People don’t use all their muscle groups at one time, and they also don’t use all of their brain at once.If this myth would be true, the brain damage would be improbable, from all people having severe neurological disabilities, like Parkinson’s Disease, to severe strokes. So the myth has been busted! We use 100% of our brain everyday!
This blog was very good. Your paragraphs are easy to read and your information is vey good. I studied the same myth as you and I thought you did a very good job with it. If I had to suggest something I would suggest that you add some media or if you have media, I can't see it. In conclusion your blog was very good.
ReplyDeleteYour blog was well written and contained a fair amount of information and explained the origins of the myth thoroughly. Like Anna said, I think you should next time use more media: videos, pictures, ect. But you finished off the blog just as well as you started, so I don't think you should be harassed too much about the amount of media.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very organized and well written. I would have to say that if you could have incorperated media into the blog, it would be more visually helpful. However, the information was good and the I liked how you included a quote. All in all, this is a good blog with useful information.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job on your blog with lots of information. If you would've put some sort of media it would've helped everyone understand more clearly. I like how you added some quotes which I thought was really cool!
